About Shari

Shari Cerritos is an 8-star director at Truvy. She is a proud mom of three wonderful children and three doodle fur babies. Hailing from Jonesboro, Arkansas, she cherishes nature and loves camping by the river. In 2015, while working three jobs as a CNA, Shari almost missed a life-changing opportunity because she doubted her abilities. However, sharing her journey on social media transformed her life, allowing her to achieve financial stability and experience many “firsts.” If anyone has ever felt like opportunities were slipping away or doubted their potential, Shari wants them to know there is a solution.

She is excited to share more in this getting started lesson! These are beginner tips she herself used to start one of Truvy’s largest organizations.

Promote/Share the Products

Share products the way you would recommend a new restaurant or a newly released perfume. When you love something, you tell your friends and family and post about it on social media. This is how you should promote and share products. Aim to do this five times a week. Avoid overposting; your audience needs to see, feel, and hear your excitement about the products to become interested.

If you opened your own boutique or restaurant, you would want everyone to know about it. You’d share it on social media, tell your friends and family, give out business cards, and talk to people you meet. Promoting products is the same concept.

Quick Tips:

  • Share naturally: Recommend products like you would a new restaurant or perfume.
  • Engage friends and family: Talk about products with your close circle.
  • Use social media: Post about products to reach a wider audience.
  • Promote consistently: Aim for five times a week without overwhelming your audience.
  • Show excitement: Let your enthusiasm be visible and genuine.
  • Think like a business owner: Promote your products as if they were part of your own boutique or restaurant.

Examples:

  • Take pics with the products and post on social media
  • Share about how the products have helped you
  • Share how you feel
  • Share your testimony
  • Share your before/after
  • Share others before/afters
  • Share about the SF5 app
  • Share other products not just the trim/trufix combo
  • Share about your side hustle/side gig- how to make money from your phone.
  • Do a reel or a live
  • Ask for ideas if you need them

Money is in the Messaging

  • Diversify communication: Don’t just post on social media; use messages, texts, and calls.
  • Share personal experiences: Explain what you’re doing, taking, and the benefits you’ve noticed.
  • Invite others to try: Ask friends and family if they’d like to try the product or app.
  • Offer partnership: Suggest being accountability partners to encourage mutual support.

Don’t just rely on posting on your social media or stories. Not everyone will see them. Message your friends on social media, send a text, or call your contacts. Simply share what you’re doing, what you’re taking, and how it’s working for you. Ask if they would be willing to give it a try.

Examples:

Hi Aunt Sally, I have to tell you something! I found this supplement that helps me eat less and gives me extra energy. I feel amazing and have lost 5 lbs! I was wondering if you or Uncle Bob might be interested in losing some weight and getting extra energy too?

Hey girl! I have something to share. A friend introduced me to this product. I saw her losing weight and getting healthy, so I decided to try it. It controls your appetite and sugar cravings and gives you more energy. I've noticed a HUGE difference! Would you like to try it so we can be accountability partners?

Hey Amanda, I found an app that has been a HUGE tool in my weight loss journey. It personalizes your macros, has a barcode to log your food, simple exercises, recipes, and more! Did I mention it's FREE? Would you like to download it and take advantage of it too?

Selling the Combo

The combo is a great attention grabbing product. Use resources like product sheets, the Truvy Business Center, and your personal experience to highlight benefits. Don’t hesitate to ask for help if needed. Corporate Customer Service, Product Support, and the SF5 Facebook group are great resources.

Example Texts I Use:

It’s quite simple: 2 pills twice a day with water. It helps curb your appetite, gives you energy to move more, and cuts sugar cravings. When you move more, you burn more calories. I have personally lost ___ lbs using the products (optional). Would you benefit from extra energy and appetite control?

Take 2 capsules twice a day with plenty of water. It curbs your appetite, gives you natural energy, and cuts sugar cravings while removing toxic visceral fats. I have personally lost ___ lbs (optional). Could you use some extra energy and appetite control?

Take 2 plant-based supplements twice a day with water. Trufix supports healthy blood chemistry and cuts sugar cravings. Trim boosts metabolism, controls appetite, and provides healthy energy. Together they are amazing. I’ve personally lost ___ lbs (optional). Do you need help with appetite control and a boost of energy?

Adding Your Friends to a Customer Group

  • Invite All Friends: Add all Facebook friends to your customer group.
  • Share Posts: Post about products and healthy recipes in the group.
  • Engage: Like and comment on group posts to boost visibility.
  • Activity Recommendation: Post 2x a week; like and comment on 3-5 posts.
  • Assist Members: Respond to comments and provide help.

Add or invite all your friends from your Facebook friends list to your customer group (and/or the corporate group). Don’t pick and choose—add them all! You never know who might be interested just by seeing someone’s story or picture that they relate to.

Participate in the groups by sharing posts about the products and healthy recipes. When you post in the groups, every friend you added gets a notification.

Engage with others by liking and commenting on posts shared in the group. This interaction helps the posts appear in the news feeds of your friends. I recommend posting at least twice a week and liking and commenting on 3-5 posts.

Create Yourself a DMO (Daily Method of Operation)

  • Daily Engagement: Post Truvy-related content, send messages, follow up with customers, and interact on social media.
  • Group Activity: Post and comment in your customer group, add new members, and join team calls/Zoom meetings.
  • Scheduling Tips: Adjust tasks to fit your schedule, work in short increments, and aim for 2 hours of work per day if part-time.

A daily method of operation (DMO) will help you get sales and build your team. DMO help keep you focused by doing small tasks that when consistently done, result in a growing business and sales. Adjust according to your schedule, whether you are working part-time, full-time, or on your own time.

Example DMO:

  1. Post on your wall/story: Aim for one Truvy-related post per day.
  2. Send out 20-30 messages: These can be about the app, promos, or asking current customers if they want info on getting free products.
  3. Follow up with customers.
  4. Post/comment in your customer group.
  5. Add 25-50 people to your customer group daily.
  6. Comment on 25-50 friends’ posts daily: This helps them see your posts. Vary the people you comment on.
  7. Add 10 new friends daily.
  8. Respond to stories: Great for starting conversations.
  9. Join team calls/Zoom calls as much as possible.
  10. Check groups and chats for new announcements daily.

Repeat these tasks as needed to fit your schedule. If full-time, do a little at a time and repeat. If part-time or on your own time, work in 10-15 minute increments. Aim for a total of 2 hours of work per day if part-time.

This is just an example. You don’t have to do everything at once. Every 5 to 15 minutes adds up by the end of the day.
